THE WARM REASONS WHY DREAM OF HOPES RANCH
WAS ESTABLISHED

Watching the progress of the Work Center

It began as a dream when I was a little girl to establish a Camp and Special Olympics facility for children and adults with special needs like my learning disabled and aphasiac twin sister, Linda, and my son, Joey, who was born with Down Syndrome.

Dream of Hopes Ranch became a reality when I had a visionary dream about an Eagle hugging some land, which looked just like the Austin Area Hill Country. I talked to my Native American friends about my dream and they stated that the Eagle was protecting the land for me. I asked, "Why for me?" They, in return, said I must ponder that for myself.

By the time I left my friends, I knew why the Eagle was securing that land and the name of the ranch...

monumental city's 1,200 sq ft foot mural at Deep Eddy Pool.
